Planning a wedding is no piece of cake, but with planning and keeping ahead of the piling up chores, you can emerge on your wedding day as the most effortless bride with not a worry on her mind. Here are some of the most important, but often neglected tasks you should complete ahead of the week of the wedding to have no last-minute panic at your Big Day.
Get hold of your marriage license:
To ensure your marriage ceremony is solid legally, make sure that the marriage license is proper and in order. You could also assign a close family member or friends to keep track of the license on the wedding day, make sure it is signed properly and doesn’t get lost in the merriment.

Confirm honeymoon itinerary:
Make sure to confirm all flight times, hotel reservations, dinner plans and any other activities you have booked are in place.
Get in tandem with all your vendors:
Give all your vendors a call during the weekdays before the event to confirm arrival times, and other details of their services. All vendors like the baker, florist, caterer, make up artists, photographer and DJ are up to speed with your requirements.
Get ready with payments:
Get your checks and payments for all wedding vendors ready to go. Mark the envelopes with their names, put in the checks or cash, and seal to be kept safely until the wedding so that you don’t have to scramble on the final day preparing and calculating pending payments.
Plan for the post-wedding escape route:
Depending on your post-wedding plans, plan a route towards heading home or the after-party once the wedding event is over. You don’t want the two of you hailing a cab after saying your ‘I Dos’.

Confirm the toastmaster:
If you have a couple of people wanting to give a sweet little speech on your big day, confirm ahead of time and plan the arrangement of speakers so that there are no mix-ups and every toast goes smoothly.

Delegate someone to keep track of gifts:
A close family member must be assigned to collect all the cards, gifts and cash that you may want to keep, so they can bring it home for you after the party is over. You would be occupied with a lot of other things to keep track of gifts, so someone responsible would be the perfect choice for you to make sure everything reaches you safely.
